The Saft LS/LST/LSG ranges are cylindrical primary lithium cells, based
on the Lithium-Thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) chemistry. Their key features
are is the concentric electrodes ("bobbin") construction that
enables maximum loading of active materials and corresponding energy.
The LS/LST/LSG cells are designed specifically for long-term (3 to 15
years) applications, featuring a few µA base currents and periodic
pulses, typically in the 5-150 mA range.
The ‘C’ cell versions are specially recommended for indoor
applications (with temperatures generally lower than +30°C) where
they demonstrate an excellent resistance to passivation.
The LS cells are manufactured in France, the LSTs in the UK and the LSGs
in China. They differ mostly in minor construction, size and finish details.
