Victron Energy s SMART series Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) batteries have built-in cell balancing and monitoring. You can connect up to five batteries in parallel and up to four 12V or two 24V batteries in series, so you can assemble a bank batteries of 48 V and 1500 Ah maximum. Cell balancing/monitoring cables can be cascaded and must be connected to a Battery Management System (BMS).
Bluetooth app available, to monitor battery voltage and temperature
For proper and safe operation of the battery, it is necessary to use one of these Victron Energy BMS:
- BMS VE.Bus: recommended for inverter/charger systems.
- small BMS: recommended for use in small systems.
- Battery Management System BMS 12/200: recommended for use in automotive and marine systems with DC loads and alternators.
- Smart BMS CL 12/100: recommended for use in automotive and marine systems with DC loads and alternators.
- Lynx Smart BMS
